How to Balance Energy Savings and Human Comfort Across Multiple Systems?

Situated in a mountainous region, the Ako Campus faces rapid climate changes, diverse usage patterns, and multiple energy sources. The facility must manage lighting, HVAC, shading, security, power, solar generation, and storage systems simultaneously. Traditional siloed management cannot dynamically respond to environmental shifts or ensure occupant comfort while reducing energy consumption. The key challenge was to unify these disparate systems under an integrated, human-centric control framework.

Full IP-Based Open Platform for Integrated Energy and Environmental Control

Delta deployed LOYTEC’s full IP-based, multi-protocol building management platform to unify all subsystems into a single interface. Through integrated DALI smart lighting, indoor environmental sensors, automated shading, the UNO IAQ solution, and coordinated control of solar generation and energy storage, the building dynamically adjusts lighting, shading, and HVAC based on weather, sunlight, and occupancy patterns. Real-time weather data enables predictive control for improved comfort and reduced energy use. The security system is also integrated, with video linkage and automated alarms enhancing overall safety.
